AANQA — the Arabic word for Phoenix — is a privately owned family office with interests in sustainable business, from aquaculture and fintech to healthcare and digital infrastructure, across the arc from East Africa through the Gulf to Southeast Asia.
Established in 2006, AANQA began as a fiduciary services firm helping international companies navigate entry into Oman and the wider GCC. Today our reach extends across the arc from East Africa through the Gulf, the Eurasian corridor, and into Southeast Asia.
The name says it all. Aanqa (آنقاء) is the Arabic word for Phoenix — the mythical bird that rises renewed from the ashes. It has guided how we think about every business we build.
Over nearly two decades, we've grown into a diversified investment and project development holding company. We hold equity interests across agri & aquaculture, fintech, digital technology, and health — united by a single belief: business should genuinely improve lives.
We're small by design. That keeps us fast, hands-on, and honest.
We back ideas that challenge the existing order and reimagine how industries operate.
Every project is evaluated through the lens of long-term environmental and social impact.
We build locally — employing talent and creating lasting opportunity in every market we enter.
Acting in our partners' best interests is not a service we offer — it is how we operate.
